Rapid Fans Banned From Watching Rapid

Now not only West Ham’s fans are banned from attending the Europa League game in Vienna. With Austria going into a nationwide lockdown from Monday for three weeks, the fixture next Thursday now will be played behind locked doors.
It’s somehow ridiculous that the Austrian mayor had announced 2G+ last weekend, published the 2G+ directive on Wednesday to come into force on Friday, and then we have a full lockdown from Monday… and in between West Ham fans were banned from travelling anyway by UEFA….
The Hammers had already accepted the Uefa sanction that banned their fans from travelling to the game due to poor behaviour in previous matches. Today the Austrian clubs have been told that sports matches can continue, but only without fans.
What a mess! And what an annoying victory for bloody Covid again…
