Can’t remember a window like this …

No signings at all at West Ham in January.
A disappointing window for West Ham, but there hasn’t been a lack of investment in the Premier League at all! Other Premier League Clubs have spent 295m (EUR 355m), four times more than last year and the highest fees since 2018, according to Deloitte.
More than half of this fees were spent by the five clubs ranked 16 – 20 in the Premier League. Newcastle have a new midfielder in Bruno Guimaraes from Olympique Lyon and a new striker in Chris Wood from Burnley.
The PL’s most expensive transfer was left winger Luis Diaz who comes from Porto to Liverpool.
West Ham is reported to have made some bids worth 50m, but none of them was accepted. It has been a “window zero” for the Irons. Their squad lacks depth, and the wait for silverware or at least a cup final will most likely continue. Finishing in the top four of the Premier League will also be a task too high for the Hammers this season.
And, realistically, this could maybe be the last months that we will watch Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen, our best players, in claret and blue.
But manager David Moyes has already surprised us last season and in the first half of this season, too, when West Ham won the Europa League group and was in the top four for many months. Let’s trust in DM and the squad we have. It could be bolstered with some Academy players and why shouldn’t we be surprised again?
Come on you Irons !!! We’re forever blowing bubbles…
