Coming back from two weeks off because of the war in Ukraine, Andriy Yarmolenko came on for Michail Antonio and scored the first goal in West Ham’s match against Aston Villa (70)!
With this goal – and the second one scored by Pablo Fornals (82) – West Ham’s remarkable goal scoring record in home matches continues: the Hammers and Liverpool are the only teams that have hit the back of the net in every Premier League home game so far this season.
Michail Antonio and Aaron Cresswell unfortunately were forced off with injuries in the win over Aston Villa and now are doubts for West Ham’s most important second leg of the Europa League last-16 tie against Sevilla at the London Stadium on Thursday, 9 p.m. (MET).
Result: 2-1 (0-0)
