FA Cup to affect WHU fixture list
The FA has confirmed the schedules for the 2021-22 Emirates FA Cup and Vitality Women’s FA Cup semi-finals. The semi-finals are going to be played on the 15th and 16th of April. The respective winners then will play the men’s final on 14 May, 5.30 p.m. (BST), and the women’s final on 15 May 2022. Contrary to the men’s team, West Ham women are still in the FA Cup. After a 1-0 win over Ipswich they face Manchester City in the semi-final on 16 April, 12.15 p.m.
West Ham men’s team were knocked out of the Cup this season in the 5th round by Southampton and therefore their fixture list could only be affected if their opponent on the weekend of the FA Cup final, Manchester City, would reach the final by beating Liverpool in the semis. West Ham women though will play the club from the blue side of Manchester on the road to Wembley.
