The Odds for EVE v WHU

Having read the following preview on the BBC website I suggest to make a bet on the “Toffees” winning this afternoon‘s game against West Ham:

Everton “are winless in nine Premier League games since beating Burnley 2-0 on 16 December. It is Everton’s second-longest winless streak in the competition after a run of 12 matches between August and October 1994, which was ended by a 1-0 home victory versus West Ham.”
It has been an old habit of West Ham to gift opponents being on a long winless run an escape from this streak. Thirty years ago that happened at Everton: the blue side of Liverpool did break the duck against the Hammers, and I very much fear that this could happen again today if the Hammers play their usual game of “Moyesball” this afternoon.
Though in last Monday’s game West Ham acted quite differently from their familiar tactics under Moyes. Instead of his usual cautious approach the manager let the team start into the home game against Brentford attacking and pushing for a quick opening goal. Coming out of the blocks like that paid dividends and West Ham were 2-0 up after just 7 minutes, and they eventually won 4-2, ending their own winless run of eight games in 2024.
But this afternoon, playing away, I am pretty sure that David Moyes will let his team sit back again and hope that they will score on the counter attack. The West Ham faithful will again be dissatisfied with this negative approach, and the “Moyes out brigade” will raise their voice once more.
Even with a win it’s not sure if Moyes‘s critics could be silenced. Well, let’s see what happens and keep the fingers crossed anyway!
Come on you Irons! We‘re West Ham‘s claret and blue army!
