The Hammers and manager Graham Potter have spent ÂŁ125 million on eight new signings in the summer transfer window, adding to their attack, midfield and defence. But West Ham have also seen eleven departures this summer, including a major one.
IN: Mateus Fernandes (from Southampton), Jean-Clair Todibo (loan-signing from Nice made permanent), El Hadji Diouf (Slavia Prague), Mads Hermansen (Leicester City), Soungoutou Magassa (Monaco), Kyle Walker-Peters (Southampton), Callum Wilson (Newcastle Utd.), Igor Julio (Brighton â loan)
OUT: Mohammed Kudus (Spurs), Nayef Aguerd, Emerson (both Marseile), Vladimir Coufal (Hoffenheim), Aaron Cresswell (Stoke), Danny Ings (Sheffield Utd.), Edson Alvarez (Fehnerbace), Maxwel Cornet (Genoa), Lewis Orford (Stevenage), Junior Robinson (Livington).
Bowen, PaquetĂĄ, Wilson 3-0

West Ham’s first win of the season: three goals (Jarrod Bowen 84′, Lucas PaquetĂĄ 88′ [penalty], Callum Wilson 91′) and a clean sheet, the Hammers win 3-0 away at Nottingham Forest! âïž

Hours after West Ham rejected an Aston Villa bid for Lucas Paqueta, he responded with the perfect celebration. đ€©
When asked to give his thoughts about it on talkSPORT, Hammers boss Graham Potter had this to say:
“You can see a really committed, professional performance from someone that cares about his team and cares about his teammates. So I’m really proud of him for what he did…
“He’s a West Ham player and I’m sure he will be for a long time.” đȘ
Going nowhere. â

Football makes happy!

Update (Friday): Well, that might not be true right now if youâre supporting West Ham:
Two games into the new season and already two heavy defeats with eight goals shipped and only one scored (Sunderland 0-3 away, Chelsea 1-5 at home)âŠ
West Ham manager Graham Potter, who picked up fewer points (nine) from his first 10 home games in the Premier League than any manager in West Hamâs history (two wins: 3-2 Fulham in January and 2-0 Leicester on 27 February, three draws and five defeats), did not want to say whether a relegation battle beckons. The club are hopeful of strengthening the squad before the end of the window, but I fear this wonât happen due to owner David Sullivanâs inability to make smart signings.
West Ham are only two games into the Premier League season but it has been two horrible defeats â added to a sequence of just five wins in the 18 league games Potter took charge of in the last campaign. Potter now has the worst home record of any West Ham manager in the Premier League, having not won at the London Stadium since February.
Apathy devours everything it touches, it could be an other drab season at London StadiumâŠ
Come on you Irons, anyway!
Premier League first round
Spurs 3-0, Hammers 0-3 – what a start into this season! đĄ
