Moyes Enjoys To Watch His West Ham

David Moyes says his West Ham United team are playing some of the best football of his managerial career. He‘s enjoying to watch his team play – and so am I! Yesterday‘s win at Moyes‘ former club Everton with a resilient display and some very good football means that the Hammers are up to 7th in the Premier League table, level on points with Manchester Utd in sixth and one point behind Brighton and Spurs in 4th and 5th.

Here was the latest impressive win against a perceived rival for the European places, The Telegraph writes: The Londoners we’re looking slick in possession, a powerful unit through their spine, and towering over opponents in both penalty areas ensuring a set-piece winner – Angelo Ogbonna’s header in the second half – was no surprise. Moyes’ side was more dominant on the ball and flexible in their movement, any thoughts that West Ham’s improvement last season was a freak of lockdown football can be cast aside. They look even better this season.
David Moyes led the Hammers to a second consecutive win at Goodison Park – the first time in 91 years that West Ham had won back-to-back top-flight matches there – and above an Everton side who had won all three home games prior to the Irons’ visit.
The Londoners were value for their victory, too, dominating possession for long periods and creating a succession of opportunities from open play and set pieces.
The Hammers have now collected ten points from 12 on the road and Moyes has challenged his squad to emulate their away form when they return to London Stadium to host Tottenham Hotspur in their next home Premier League fixture next Sunday:
“We’ve got the best away record in the Premier League and what we now want is the best home record in the league at London Stadium, too.”
“We’ve got to try and make sure we get those victories at home as well.
„I want my team to be hard to play against; if you are going to be successful, you need to be strong defensively. It’s my job to win and I want the team to be top of the league winning games. But there have been times when I have actually stood back from the touchline and thought: ‘Oh boy, you guys are playing well, this is good to watch, I’m enjoying this’.
“As a manager, I am loving it. West Ham back in Europe is such a big thing for us. At the end of the Rapid Vienna game, we had over 50,000 there, it was incredible. You can see what it means, it’s something we really want. I’m not going to sit back and say it’s tough or whatnot, I’m the opposite, I’m saying bring it on.
“We’ve started well, we’ve got some more work to do, but I do know if we can qualify and be in Europe after Christmas time, it would be a great boost for us.”
