“We’ve reached the peak of coronavirus,” says NHS boss. Death toll in Omikron wave is significantly lower than in past waves – courtesy to vaccination and booster, Matthew Taylor, head of the NHS Confederation of hospital bosses, said. The Omicron wave which has begun by approximately mid-December in England could now be ebbing away after a month or so.
The Austrian newspaper “Die Presse” also said recently that data from various countries suggested that the Omicron wave would possibly not overwhelm the hospitals.
